The Adelaide Strikers have been forced to make a change to their squad heading to Perth on Thursday, with batter Maddie Penna suffering a quad injury during Sunday’s win over the Brisbane Heat.
Whilst playing a crucial role in the win, Penna strained her left quad and is set to miss a period of the competition, with a return to play date yet to be determined.
Penna dropping out of the squad is the only change.

Friday afternoon’s match at the WACA is a WBBL|08 Grand Final re-match, with the Strikers taking on the Sydney Sixers for the first time this season.
Ahead of the game beginning at 4:40pm ACDT, Strikers can watch ‘Pretty Bloody Special‘, a behind the scenes documentary into the Championship season, on Fox Cricket Channel 501, from 3:20pm.
On Sunday, the Strikers will play the Perth Scorchers in the first match of First Nations Round, starting at 4:55pm. It will be the first time the Strikers wear their newly designed First Nations shirt.

Both matches at the WACA will be broadcast live and free on 7Mate in Adelaide from 4:30pm ACDT.
