After a successful first summer with the Adelaide Strikers, Chris Lynn will return for another season of Lynnsanity at Adelaide Oval.
BBL|12 was Lynn’s opening season as a Striker and he impressed – making 416 runs in only 11 matches which earned him a place in the BBL Team of the Tournament.
Lynn made three half-centuries with a high-score of 87 last season, with his 64 runs off only 29 balls as part of the highest successful run chase of 230 at Adelaide Oval against the Hobart Hurricanes standing out as one of his many highlights.
Since the BBL season, Lynn has competed in T20 competitions around the world, winning titles with the Gulf Giants in the UAE ILT20 and Montreal Tigers in GT20 Canada.
The top-order batter is really excited to get back to Adelaide for BBL|13.
“I loved my first season at the Strikers, it’s a great group of lads and coaches and we had some amazing moments together last season,” Lynn said.
“I really enjoyed being one of the more experienced guys in the squad and providing insights to the younger blokes and supporting them.
“After missing finals last year, we are hungry to make sure we make them in BBL|13 and I’m keen to get back out onto Adelaide Oval and get the season underway.”
Adelaide Strikers Head Coach Jason Gillespie said Lynn is a key member of the Strikers squad.
“Chris had a big impact on the group last season and we are looking forward to welcoming him back for BBL|13,” Gillespie said.
“Obviously he had a great influence on field with the amount of runs he made, but he made an even bigger contribution off it with the help he provided his younger teammates.
“We are excited to get ‘Lynny’ back to Adelaide and can’t wait to see what he can do again.”
Lynn joins fellow Team of the Tournament member Matt Short in re-signing with the Strikers, while D’Arcy Short and James Bazley will be new additions to the batting line up.
