Rashid Khan, set to spend a fourth season in Strikers colours, has some of the most remarkable stats in world Twenty20 cricket.
Rashid Khan holds the record as the fastest player in world cricket to reach 300 T20 wickets, achieving the milestone in just 213 matches.
2020-2021 will be Rashid’s fourth year with the Strikers, and he is currently the No. 1 ranked T20 bowler according to ICC rankings.
In 40 Big Bash games, Rashid has taken 56 wickets at an economy rate of 6.37 and a strike rate of 16.6.
Rashid’s best bowling figures in Strikers colours are 4/22.
Rashid has taken the most wickets for the Strikers in three consecutive Big Bash seasons. Last year he took 19 wickets to finish tied with veteran Peter Siddle.
In BBL 07 and BBL 08 he took 18 and 19 wickets respectively.
Rashid has scored 253 runs as a Striker, with a high score of 40 and a strike rate of 161.15.
Rashid has hit 19 fours and 17 sixes as a Striker and has finished not-out with the bat on 10 occasions.
On January 8, 2020, in a clash against Sydney Sixes, Rashid took the wickets of James Vince, Jack Edwards and Jordan Silk in three consecutive deliveries to claim his maiden BBL hat-trick.
With 55 IPL fixtures under his belt, Rashid has taken 66 wickets at an average of 21.09, with best bowling figures of 3/12.
Rashid made his international T20 debut for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe on October 26, 2015 and finished with figures of 1/20 from his four overs.
Throughout his career, Rashid has played a total of 230 T20 fixtures. During this time, he has bowled 5287 balls, or 881.1 overs.
With these deliveries, he has taken 318 wickets and conceded just 5548 runs, making for a remarkable average of 17.44 coupled with the fantastic economy rate of 6.29 runs per over.
He has taken four wickets in an innings six times and five wickets in an innings twice.
Rashid’s best bowling figures are 5/3 from two overs, taken in an international pitting Afghanistan against Ireland on March 10, 2017.
In his career, Rashid has scored a total of 963 runs with the bat, at a strike rate of 145.24 and with a high score of 56*.
