We’ve taken a deep dive into all the numbers to emerge from WBBL|06, including some career-bests for multiple Strikers.
The Strikers had the biggest victory by runs in WBBL|06, defeating the Hurricanes by 64 runs on 17 November.
The Strikers set their highest total for the season (6/159) against the Perth Scorchers in their nail-biting final match.
Overall, the Strikers took the most catches in the tournament (54), ten more than the second-placed Hurricanes.
Tahlia McGrath and Bridget Patterson took the most catches in the field for the Strikers with five apiece.
The Strikers also dropped the lowest number of catches of any team this season, taking the title for the safest hands in the competition.
Adelaide finished second for runs scored in the tournament (1725), just 32 runs behind Melbourne Stars (1757).
The Strikers were tied-second for most sixes (32), also behind the Stars (36).
A number of Strikers had their best season to date, setting new high scores or recording their best bowling figures.
Maddie Penna’s 56 not out in the Strikers triumphant win over the Hobart Hurricanes was not only her highest individual score to date, but the fourth highest of any Striker this season.
In addition to scoring two half-centuries, Katie Mack also overran her previous high score with the bat (57, in WBBL03), notching up 58 against the Sydney Thunder.
Megan Schutt recorded new best bowling figures, claiming 3/7 against the Sydney Sixers, just edging out her former best figures of 3/8 in WBBL01.
In her first innings as a Striker, South African international Laura Wolvaardt reeled-in a half-century, finishing with 51 (42) in a rain-affected victory over the Hurricanes.
Wolvaardt only improved from there, as she notched her highest Big Bash score on 3 November against Melbourne Stars, compiling 68 (50), an innings headlined by four sixes. The score is the highest by a Striker in WBBL|06
The silky-skilled right-hander finished as the highest run-scorer for the Strikers with 347, ninth highest in the competition. Her eight sixes placed her equal-fifth in the regular season.
The Strikers finished the tournament with seven individual half-centuries. Wolvaardt and Mack achieved the feat twice while Stafanie Taylor, Penna and McGrath each passed the milestone once.
Patterson and Penna tied for the best strike-rate in a single innings (200).
Sarah Coyte finished the tournament with the highest strike-rate for a Striker (175). Despite facing just 20 deliveries, Coyte smashed 35 runs, including three sixes.
Coyte also took the most wickets (18) by a Striker. This saw her equal-first competition-wide. Her economy rate of 6.52 was the third best of any Striker, behind young gun Darcie Brown and the ever-reliable Megan Schutt.
Amanda-Jade Wellington finished second in the wickets category (17). Her best figures of 4/24 from three overs were rated the sixth best bowling performance of the tournament.
Brown, the rebel WBBL|06 Young Gun, finished the season with an economy rate of just 5.52, good enough for fifth overall. With the qualifier of having bowled more than 10 overs, Brown sits third.
Strikers keeper Tegan McPharlin collected the second-most dismissals with the gloves in WBBL|06 (14); this was made up of nine catches and five stumpings. She was tied-first for most stumpings in the tournament.
Skipper Schutt recorded the highest number of balls bowled in the competition (293), and also topped the table for maiden overs this season.
The Strikers registered the highest 5th wicket partnership (43) and 7th wicket partnership (69*) across WBBL|07.
The 5th wicket partnership of 43 was actually achieved twice, once by Taylor and Wellington, and once by Wellington and Patterson.
The 7th wicket partnership of 69 unbeaten was compiled by Penna and McPharlin.
