Aftab Alam was banned for one year by the disciplinary committee for disciplinary violations during ICC Cricket world cup 2019. However, based on the decision of the committee, he can attend camps upon the completion of the term.
Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has allowed national player Aftab Alam to join national team after a one-year ban by the Disciplinary Committee. Alam has joined the national team and is now part of a month-long training camp.
Aftab Alam was banned for one year by the disciplinary committee for disciplinary violations during ICC Cricket world cup 2019. However, based on the decision of the committee, he can attend camps upon the completion of the term.
The decision from Disciplinary Committee states: (Aftab Alam, a member of the national team during the ICC world Cricket 2019 was suspended by the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s discipline committee since June 2019 for Disciplinary violation. The ban was for one year which ended in June, 2020 so he can participate in official competitions and training camps by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.)
Alam has promised to the discipline committee that he will not do any action against the rules and he himself would be responsible if he goes against the law again.
It is worth mentioning that, Aftab Alam is a fast bowler of the National Team who joined the ongoing training camp for the national team after completing the one year ban.
