Auckland Cricket have partnered with Bargain Box for 2020/21 with the Kiwi meal kit delivery supplier signed on as the new marquee sponsor of Junior Cricket in Auckland.

Bargain Box are now the major supporter and naming rights sponsor of Auckland Cricket’s Junior Leagues, supporting all junior cricket starting from Year 5.

Bargain Box will also be supporting the junior programmes of four clubs by sponsoring ‘Volunteer of the Week’ awards.

Auckland Cricket Chief Executive Iain Laxon is pleased Bargain Box can help acknowledge the volunteers that make club cricket happen.

“Junior cricket is the lifeblood of our sport, and it would not happen without the amazing volunteer network at our clubs.

“Auckland Cricket is really excited to welcome Bargain Box to our family of sponsors and connect them with junior cricket in Auckland.

“Valuing volunteers who give up their time to help their kids, and their club, is something Auckland Cricket is always looking to do better and it is great to have Bargain Box helping some of our clubs do that.”

My Food Bag Chief Executive Kevin Bowler says after such an unusual year, and many sports receiving less funding, he’s delighted that Bargain Box can support local sport.

“Bargain Box is committed to fuelling Kiwi kids across the country with nutritious meals so aligning with the Auckland Cricket Junior Leagues is just another way for us to get into local communities and show our support to Kiwi families.

“We’re all about creating happier families, one meal at time, and this partnership is another way we’re doing this.”
