The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) have inquired a breach of the Bio-Secure Environment (BSE) during an individual practice session of Mohammedan Sporting Club player Shakib Al Hasan on 04 June 2021.

Mohammedan officials and the player attended a hearing of the CCDM on Tuesday (08 June). The hearing was held in presence of Chairman CCDM Kazi Inam Ahmed, Head of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division T20 Cricket League 2019-20 Technical Committee Mohammed Jalal Yunus and BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury.

The Mohammedan team management admitted that an unintended breach had occurred at training through the presence of individuals who were from outside the BSE and regretted the incident. CCDM Chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed said: “Mohammedan Club officials have acknowledged that it was a clear mistake on its part and has assured us that such slip ups will not occur again. We have taken into consideration the circumstances and have notified the club that any future breach will result in strict disciplinary measures.

We have also increased security vigilance so that the BSE protocol is not compromised. The BCB and CCDM have made extensive arrangements to ensure that BSE standards are met. Everyone should respect that for own safety and protection.”
