The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is the governing body for cricket in Bangladesh. It joined the ICC in 1977 and became a full member in 2000. The BCB oversees Bangladesh's men's, women's, and under-19 national teams.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) extends deepest condolences to the family of former national footballer AKM Nausheruzzaman who passed away last Monday. The Board recalls in grateful appreciation the Late Nausheruzzaman’s contribution to the independence of Bangladesh as a member of the Swadhin Bangla Football Team.

Nausheruzzaman was also an accomplished cricket player who had represented famous Dhaka League clubs Mohammedan and Kalabagan. BCB’s Chairman Media Committee Mohammed Jalal Yunus remembered Nausheruzzaman the cricketer: “Although he had made his name in football’s top level, he was a very good cricketer and a flamboyant batsman.”
