The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expresses deep sadness at the passing away of M.A. Hashem, father of BCB Director and Chairman of the Board’s Audit Committee Showkat Aziz Russell. Eminent industrialist and Founder Chairman of Partex Group  M.A. Hashem breathed his last in Dhaka in the early hours today at the age of 78.

The BCB gratefully recalls M.A. Hashem’s contribution to games and sports in Bangladesh, especially to cricket where his business enterprise has been a constant source of support and patronisation over the years.

The Board extends heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the family of the late M.A. Hashem.
