The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expresses deep sadness at the passing of Md Zafrul Ehsan, Senior High Performance (HP) Coach. Having battled Acute Myeloid Leukemia since December 2022, Ehsan breathed his last this morning in Dhaka. He was 60 years old.
Since joining the BCB in 2006, Ehsan had worked in various coaching capacities that include the roles of HP Head Coach and Batting Coach (2015-2022), Bangladesh Under 19 Head Coach (2010-2013), National Women’s Team Head Coach (2007-2008) and Bangladesh A Team Batting Coach. A certified Level 3 coach, Ehsan had also been in charge of National Cricket League (NCL) and Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) first class competition teams and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 sides.
