The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is the governing body for cricket in Bangladesh. It joined the ICC in 1977 and became a full member in 2000. The BCB oversees Bangladesh's men's, women's, and under-19 national teams.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is deeply saddened at the passing of eminent sports personality and Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF)’s former general secretary and ex-national hockey player Shamsul Bari who breathed his last in Dhaka today at the age of 75.

Bari had served the BHF as its general secretary from 1988 to 2007. He was and executive member of the Asian Hockey Federation and had performed the role of deputy secretary general of Bangladesh Olympic Association. A Dhaka University Blue in hockey, he had represented the Bangladesh hockey team as a player from 1972 to 1978.

The BCB extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the Late Shamsul Bari.
