The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is the governing body for cricket in Bangladesh. It joined the ICC in 1977 and became a full member in 2000. The BCB oversees Bangladesh's men's, women's, and under-19 national teams.

An incident involving two players and a club official that took place at the BKSP on 16 June 2021 has been reported to the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM).

The technical committee of CCDM held a virtual hearing on the evening of 16 June where the players Md Elias of Lt Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited , Shabbir Rahaman of Legends of Rupganj, Sheikh Jamal Manager Sultan Mahmud and the match officials were present.

After an extensive hearing session the Technical Committee has decided to take the following disciplinary measures:

1. Fine of BDT 50,000.00 each for Shabbir Rahaman of Legends of Rupganj and Sheikh Jamal’s Manager Sultan Mahmud.

2. Warning to Md Elias of Sheikh Jamal.
