The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is the governing body for cricket in Bangladesh. It joined the ICC in 1977 and became a full member in 2000. The BCB oversees Bangladesh's men's, women's, and under-19 national teams.

Today during the Bangladesh innings in the first ODI against India in Dhaka, batter Shorna Akter felt a sudden severe pain around the right abdomen while waiting to go out to bat.

She was immediately taken to Evercare Hospital for tests and investigation. Eventually, no major health issue was detected and Shorna is expected to be available for the next matches of the ODI series.
