BCCI appoints new leadership

Must Read

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the wealthiest cricket governing body, operates under the leadership of former Indian cricketer Roger Binny as President. Veteran politician Rajeev Shukla serves as Vice President, leveraging his extensive experience in sports administration.

A notable organizational change occurred with the appointment of Devajit Saikia as Secretary, succeeding Jay Shah. Saikia, formerly the Secretary of the Assam Cricket Association, brings a fresh perspective to the BCCI’s administration.

The Indian Premier League (IPL), cricket’s most lucrative tournament, is overseen by Arun Singh Dhumal as its Chairman. The role of Chief Selector is held by former Indian fast bowler Ajit Agarkar, who plays a key role in shaping the Indian cricket team’s selections across formats.

Managing the BCCI’s significant financial operations is Treasurer Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, who oversees its substantial monetary resources and investments.
