Botsawna’s Sumod Damodar elected to ICC’s Chief Executives’ Committee

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body for cricket, founded in 1909 as the Imperial Cricket Conference. Renamed the International Cricket Conference in 1965, it became the ICC in 1987. Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, the ICC has 108 member nations.

The International Cricket Council today confirmed that Sumod Damodar (Botswana) has been elected as an Associate Member representative to the Chief Executives’ Committee (CEC) replacing Mubashshir Usmani following a secret ballot vote.

The ICC Associate Member Directors election at the ICC Annual Conference 2024 result triggered an election for Mubashshir Usmani’s position on the Chief Executives’ Committee as he is unable to hold both positions.

Mr. Damodar will serve the rest of the term which concludes at the end of the ICC Annual Conference 2025 and will join Rashpal Bajwa (Cricket Canada) and Umair Butt (Danish Cricket Associationwho were elected last year.
