The Heat have lost one of their past five games. They overcame the loss to the Scorchers in Perth with a comfortable win at the Gabba over Adelaide, with James Pattinson starring with the ball and AB de Villiers making an assured debut.

SQUADS

Both squads remain unchanged since Tuesday’s clash at The Gabba.

LAST TIME THEY MET

On Tuesday at the Gabba when Brisbane chased down a small target courtesy of de Villiers (40) and Matt Renshaw (52no) after James Pattinson had taken 5-33 to restrict the Strikers to 110.

FORM AT ADELAIDE OVAL

The Heat have had a solid ratio of wins verses losses in Adelaide, including their last visit there in BBL|08 when they won. The Strikers will look to fight back hard in this game and tend to be a better side at home than away.

KEY PLAYERS

Matt Renshaw v Rashid Khan

The Heat left-hander is showing his versatility this season, and his shot-making ability makes him a key match-up with the Strikers’ leg-spinning trumpcard. Khan is shouldering the responsibility of bowling more overs in the Power Play and represents a steep challenge for most batsmen.

Josh Lalor v Jake Weatherald

The Heat swing king will have his sights on the dangerous Weatherald, with the Strikers opener capable of setting up a big score if he gets going in the Power Play. Lalor is a vital member of the Heat attack and will also be important in the final overs.

IT’S A BIG NIGHT FOR..

Chris Lynn. The Heat skipper could go a long way towards securing a much-needed win for his club if he can produce one of his trademark knocks. He may shift up to opener to take advantage of the Power Play.
