The Brisbane Heat’s preparations for the 10th anniversary season of the KFC Big Bash League just got even Betta

The club today revealed a striking new digital look to celebrate the news that Major Partner Betta Home Living had renewed its sponsorship for a further three years.

The Heat’s ‘bold gold’ look will exist for the next 24 hours through its social media channels and digital properties, with the club logo and playing apparel transformed.

The new deal means that Betta will become the longest-serving club major sponsor in the history of the BBL, joining the Heat as Major Partner in BBL|02.

Betta were prominently visible on the player apparel when the Heat won the BBL title that year, and as part of the ‘One Club, Two Teams’ strategy, were on the shirts of the reigning champion WBBL Brisbane Heat team for both of their back-to-back title wins in 2018 and 2019.

Cricket Australia’s W/BBL General Manager Alistair Dobson congratulated the Brisbane-based Betta, a national retail group providing home appliance and furniture, on their commitment to the Heat and the BBL.

“They have provided great backing for the Heat and we thank them for their on-going support of the BBL,’’ he said.

“We are fortunate that the BBL has a number of long-serving and committed sponsors, with the recent extension of founding partner KFC as naming rights partner of the competition a case in point.”

“We join with the Brisbane Heat in congratulating Betta on the renewal of their partnership and wish them good fortune across the term of their new deal.”

Queensland Cricket CEO Terry Svenson thanked Betta for their on-going commitment.

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Betta. It is always rewarding to have an incumbent and long-term partner agree to stand alongside with us as we head into the future,’’ he said.

“Betta is a successful national brand, with a major regional focus, and for Queensland Cricket, that fits neatly across our emphasis of being a Brisbane-based team in a national competition that also has strong ties to regional Queensland.”

“We believe the Brisbane Heat and the BBL and WBBL delivers a strong result for all of our partners and we are excited to work with them as we approach the coming summer.”

“The WBBL and BBL is going to be more important than ever as we look to bring families together and deliver the entertainment, fun, escapism and relief which is synonymous with those competitions and the style of cricket the Brisbane Heat plays.”

Betta CEO Graeme Cunningham welcomed the renewal and wished both Heat teams the best for the coming summer.

“We are thrilled to be extending our partnership with the Brisbane Heat W/BBL teams for a further three seasons,” he said.

“The partnership aligns perfectly with our brand values and shares many synergies, in particular how the W/BBL competitions look to bring families together and provide breathtaking entertainment.”

“We wish both teams the very best of luck for the upcoming season and we look forward to celebrating many more wonderful cricketing moments over the coming years together.”

Betta has more than 170 stores nation-wide and boasts an extensive regional network across Queensland.
