The Brisbane Heat has congratulated its Principal Partner Great Southern Bank on their recent success at the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and Australian Effie Awards.

Great Southern Bank scooped the pool at the AMI Awards, picking up major gongs as winners in the National Event or Experiential Marketing and National Sponsorship Effectiveness categories.

The award for National Event or Experiential Marketing was won for the Great Southern Bank House Party – a VIP activation space at the Gabba that was sold out for all the Heat’s BBL|11 matches.

To complement the two major gongs, Great Southern Bank has also claimed a State Award for Brand Revitalisation at the AMIs and a Bronze Challenger Brand Award at the Effies.

The AMI and Effie Awards recognise marketing effectiveness and excellence across Australia.

The awards follow a successful rebrand of Great Southern Bank from Credit Union Australia in 2021 designed around an organisational purpose to help every Australian own their own home.

Brisbane Heat CEO Terry Svenson congratulated Great Southern Bank on their success.

“Great Southern Bank are a long-term partner of the Brisbane Heat, and we are excited and proud to have played our role in their success,” he said.

“The House Party at the Gabba was the place to be last summer and no doubt will once again be popular for our fans looking to get the best game-day experience at the Gabba.

“On behalf of the Heat, I’d like to congratulate Chief Executive Officer Paul Lewis and Chief Customer Officer Megan Keleher on your leadership and recent industry recognition. We can’t wait for another successful summer ahead.”

Tickets for the Great Southern Bank House Party and all Heat games are currently available through Ticketek.

The Heat make their return tonight to Allan Border Field, with the first of four Weber Women’s Big Bash League matches at the redeveloped venue.

The match will be broadcast live by Fox Cricket and Kayo and via cricket.com.au.
