Test and ODI batsman Marnus Labuschagne will make his first appearance of BBL|09 tomorrow night after he was named today in the Brisbane Heat squad to take on the Sydney Sixers at the Gabba.

He replaces paceman Jack Prestwidge in the 13-man squad that will take on the second-placed Sixers squad in a crucial encounter in the KFC Big Bash League.

Labuschagne makes his appearance after a successful ODI debut for Australia in the series against India in India last week, where he scored 46 and 54 in his only two innings.

Brisbane sit in sixth spot with three matches remaining, including the Melbourne series where they play the Stars at the MCG on Saturday night and the Renegades at Marvel Stadium on Monday afternoon.
