The Brisbane Heat will this week take to the silver screen when ‘Reignite’ hits Event Cinemas from this Thursday November 28.
‘Reignite: A Brisbane Heat Story’ chronicles the Heat’s run to the KFC BBL|13 championship and features in depth interviews with key club players, staff and figures who played a role in last summer’s triumph.
This week’s launch features a Premiere screening at Event Cinemas in Chermside on Thursday night, which will be attended by Heat players.
Limited seating is available for fans to attend the premiere, while the cinema run will include 26 locations across Queensland from Thursday, plus one each in Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. Tickets for the premiere and all screenings can be purchased through the Event Cinemas website.
Brisbane Heat General Manager of Marketing, Corporate Affairs and Commercial Pete Lock said the club was hopeful the launch of Reignite would whet the appetite for fans ahead of what promises to be another huge Big Bash season.
“Reignite is a story of resilience, teamwork, and the person behind the player, and we can’t wait to share it with our fans and players. It captures who we aim to be as a club as elite performers and family entertainers.
“We would like to thank our playing group and staff for their involvement in the project, and our off-field staff, in particular Nic Laube and Jack Hyland and our team of editors and producers, who have worked around the clock to get us to our launch.
“With the BBL season under a month away, we hope Reignite will get our fans excited to see us return to the Gabba where we have created a fortress over the last two seasons.”
Along with leading players Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Michael Neser, Nathan McSweeney and Spencer Johnson,
Reignite features cameos and interviews with media and BBL personalities including Ben Davis, Erin Holland, Ian Healy, and Damien Fleming.
Brisbane artists Ball Park Music and Machine Age are key music contributors.
