The Brisbane Heat are an Australian professional cricket team competing in the Big Bash League (BBL), representing both men's and women's cricket. Based in Brisbane, Queensland, the Heat succeeded the Queensland Bulls, who played in the former KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The team wears a teal uniform and plays at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, known as The Gabba.

The Brisbane Heat will look to soar this summer after forming a partnership with leading Australian online travel retailer TripADeal for the Weber Women’s Big Bash and KFC Big Bash Leagues.

The Heat will feature the TripADeal logo on the playing pants of its WBBL and BBL uniforms, along with branding on training apparel and in-stadium signage this season following today’s announcement.

The WBBL Heat are in action today in their opening match of the season, taking on the Melbourne Renegades in Melbourne this afternoon, before flying to Sydney to play the Perth Scorchers (Sunday) and Sydney Sixers (Tuesday) at North Sydney Oval.

Brisbane Heat General Manager – Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Peter Lock, said the club was delighted to welcome another leading Australian business to its corporate family.

“TripADeal are a highly visible and well-known national and international success story, starting just over the border at Byron Bay, so we’re thrilled they will become part of the Heat this summer,’’ he said.

“With another WBBL game in Mackay next month, and the return of the New Year’s Bash at the Gabba on January 1 featuring PNAU and Eves Karydas, there will be plenty of incentives for our fans to to travel to Heat games from within Queensland and interstate,” he said.

TripADeal co-owners Richard Johnston and Norm Black were delighted to link TripADeal with the Heat in the Big Bash this summer.

Johnston said: “We’re thrilled to have partnered with the Brisbane Heat for the upcoming season. We love partnering with clubs that have strong community roots and the Heat are a great fit in that regard.”

“We know how popular cricket is over the summer months in Australia, plus, the Heat are just up the road from us in Brisbane so we’re really happy we are able to give back to a team in what we consider to be our extended local area,” he said.

Black said: “This is an exciting time for TripADeal. We know that Queenslanders love their sport, and they love to travel – they are a huge audience for us, so this is an important partnership for us. “

“We are leaders of the industry when it comes to creating tailor-made travel packages at unbeatable prices, but we’ve shown over recent months that we know how to create really great sports experiences as well. It’s an area we’re excited to continue growing, and to work with the Heat on,” he said.

The Heat play their opening Women’s Big Bash game at Allan Border Field next Friday (Oct27) with tickets on sale now, while the Heat will host opening night of the KFC BBL on 4 December at the Gabba when they take on the Melbourne Stars.
