CHK Announces Women’s Premier League T20

Cricket Hong Kong, formerly known as the Hong Kong Cricket Association, is the governing body for cricket in Hong Kong. Established in 1968, it is headquartered in So Kon Po, Causeway Bay. An associate member of the ICC since 1969, Cricket Hong Kong also belongs to the Asian Cricket Council.

The CHK Women’s Premier League returns next week, Wednesday 19th May, with the first of three T20 matches between the Jade Jets and the Bauhinia Stars!

The T20 leg of the WPL follows on from the successful longer-format series earlier this year, where the Jade Jets emerged victorious 2-1 after two 35-over and one 40-over game. The live streams for these matches attracted over 60,000 views from around the world on Facebook and YouTube, and gave Hong Kong’s top women cricketers a chance to compete at the highest level possible within the region.

Next week will see the final of the first-ever CHK Women’s U19 Cup acting as the curtain raiser for the first WPL T20 game. The next two WPL T20 matches are scheduled for June 20th and 27th. Mark the dates, and stay tuned to our social media platforms for more news and announcements!

Hong Kong Cricket will host the “Women’s Top Cricket League” T20, which will start on May 19 (Wednesday). This time, Jade Jets will face Buahinia Stars. The match will be decided by three 20-round matches.

Earlier, the “Women’s Top Cricket League” was played in a longer format when Jade Jets won 2:1. The league was broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube, attracting more than 60,000 viewers from all over the world. It also provides opportunities for high-level competitions for the top 30 women’s crickets in Hong Kong.

Next Wednesday (19/5) the first ever “Women’s Cricket U19 League” final will be held at noon, kicking off the “Women’s Top Cricket League” in the afternoon. The next two “Women’s Top Cricket League” T20 matches are tentatively scheduled for June 20th and 27th. Keep up to date with Hong Kong Cricket’s social platforms and announcements, and keep an eye out for the latest news!
