Cricket Hong Kong, formerly known as the Hong Kong Cricket Association, is the governing body for cricket in Hong Kong. Established in 1968, it is headquartered in So Kon Po, Causeway Bay. An associate member of the ICC since 1969, Cricket Hong Kong also belongs to the Asian Cricket Council.

Cricket Hong Kong announces the Hong Kong Men’s Under 19 squad to compete at the ICC Men’s Under 19 World Cup Qualifiers Asia – Division 2. The tournament will be held in Oman from 26th September – 8th October 2022.

This tournament is the first stage towards qualifying for the 2024 Under 19 World Cup. The two teams that progress to the final will progress to the WCQ Asia Division 1 Tournament. The winner of the Division 1 tournament will progress to the Under 19 World Cup.

Hong Kong are in Group B with Thailand, Qatar and Singapore. Pool A is made up of Oman, Bhutan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia. The top two teams in each pool will progress to the semi-finals.

Mark Farmer, Cricket Hong Kong General Manager – Cricket (International & High Performance) had this to say: “I would like to congratulate those players selected and wish them every success at the tournament. These tournaments form a key stage in our emerging players development. We have an exciting group of players coming through and these tournaments present a great opportunity for our players to express their skills and compete in tournament cricket. I know the players will represent Hong Kong to the best of their ability as they compete to qualify for Division 1.”
