Cricket Hong Kong, China is delighted to announce the squad for the upcoming Hong Kong Women’s T20I Series to be played at Hong Kong Cricket Club from the 15th to 19th November 2023.
The Hong Kong Women’s T20I Series will be featuring Hong Kong, China, Japan, Nepal, and Tanzania, where four teams will play in a round-robin T20I tournament. The top two finishers of the group stage will proceed to the final while the remaining two teams will play in a third-place match.
“We are ready for the upcoming Home Series!” said Andy Cottam, Head Coach of the Hong Kong, China Women’s team. “The Women’s T20I Series will give an opportunity for our Hong Kong players to perform in front of local supporters. We have some very talented opposition for this series and we are keen to gauge the progress we have made. Also it is great to see some new faces climbing up the ranks to the senior squad.”
Kary Chan, Hong Kong Women’s team captain will be leading the team alongside vice-captain Natasha Miles. 17 years old Mya Gardner making progress from the DLA Piper Women’s Pathway Program and set to make her T20I debut for Hong Kong, China.
Kary Chan, Captain of the Women’s team, said “The girls can’t wait to play in front of our home fans! We are thrilled to see new faces joining the team and we are all looking forward get our gameplan right to delivery some good result at home.
Head coach Andy Cottam will be accompanied by Najeeb Amar as assistant coach and Amnanoor as team manager.
The Hong Kong Women’s T20I Series will be broadcast around the world as Cricket Hong Kong, China will broadcast all of the games live, with fans being able to watch the action either on the CHK’s Facebook page or on FanCode in India.
