As the excitement builds for the opening match of the KFC BBL|13 season in Brisbane tomorrow, Big Bash fans are in for a treat with the launch of the Official Big Bash App.

The Big Bash Leagues have always been synonymous with world-class entertainment and fun, and with the introduction of the Big Bash App, fans can now find the best of the Big Bash in the one spot.

The app promises a revolutionary fan experience, providing members and supporters with an interactive platform to engage with the league and their Clubs like never before. Featuring wall-to-wall content from every game with social-style vertical video, unprecedented behind the scenes access, live scores and video highlights, and the latest news, results and stats, fans can also personalise their experiences based on their favourite players and teams.

The Big Bash app is free to download on iPhone and Android from the Apple and Google app stores.

General Manager, Big Bash Leagues, Alistair Dobson said:

“The new Big Bash App represents a significant milestone in our commitment to providing fans with unparalleled Big Bash experiences. It’s more than an app; it’s everything Big Bash all in the one place and a gateway for fans to dive into all the BBL and WBBL action.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for fans to connect to the Big Bash, their favourite Club and players and we’re excited by the app and platform it provides to tell the stories of our amazing athletes.

“The Big Bash App is the perfect complement to watching the Big Bash season, with Fans able re-live the best moments of the recently completed Weber WBBL|09 season.

“We’re equally excited to be kicking off the KFC BBL|13 season tomorrow night; if the WBBL was anything to go by we’re in for a thrilling season and look forward to a big opening week that’s sure to provide fans with plenty of entertainment across the seven games.”

Fans are encouraged to download the app ahead of the BBL|13 season opener between the Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars, with a further six blockbuster matches across the country to highlight the opening week of BBL.

The world’s best players will again be in action throughout KFC BBL|13, including Test stars Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja as well as a host of World Cup winners including Glen Maxwell and Adam Zampa.

The new-look 40-match fixture will also feature a four-game Finals series set to deliver fans a blockbuster summer of Big Bash.

Fans will be treated to 35 nights of Big Bash in prime time, with host broadcaster Seven showing 30 KFC BBL|13 matches live. All 40 fixtures will appear on Foxtel and Kayo, including ten exclusive matches, with additional support from SEN.
