Reporting to the Head of Finance, in this role you will be responsible for supporting key business decisions through analytical support for budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as commercial analysis for key commercial decisions including major procurement tenders and venue hire agreements.

Our purpose is to unite and inspire communities through Cricket, and the successful candidate will play in integral role in maximizing the long-term sustainable revenue of Cricket Australia to drive investment in the game.

About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and talented analytics professional who can apply their business knowledge to support our team in leveraging commercial metrics, and use their proficiency in this space to formulate data-driven insights that support the long-term growth of the organisation.

Specifically, You Will Be Responsible For

Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting Support:

  • Update forecast models on a monthly basis to support board and Executive team reporting.
  • Support budget consolidation, reconciliation and uploads.
  • Produce supporting schedules for key budget / forecast focus areas.
  • Driving improvements in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Other ad hoc analysis to support Head of Finance as required.

Procurement Tender Assessment Support

  • Prepare and present financial modelling and analysis of procurement tender submissions to support major supplier negotiations on behalf of Australian Cricket.
  • Track benefits of procurement negotiations and ensure reflected in forecast / budgets.
  • Develop and proactively review procurement major deals pipeline.

Broadcast And Commercial Analytical Support

  • Provide modelling and commercial analysis to support negotiation of Venue Hire Agreements, New Venues and Venue redevelopments.
  • Provide commercial analysis relating to ticketing and match revenues.

Other

  • Support tracking and reconciliation of season biosecurity costs.

  • Experience in financial modelling and analysis
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • High level of commercial acumen and curiosity
  • Ability to present complex financial information and recommendations in a concise, impactful way
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Great team player – willingness to be involved in supporting a range of different commercial objectives
