    We’re looking for a driven Commercial Development Lead to join our Commercial team. This role participates in the Commercial Team’s efforts to execute the Commercial strategy, achieve budgeted revenue targets and to sell all available assets across the International Men’s and Women’s Commercial program.

    Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager you’ll be responsible for contributing to the success of Cricket Australia’s Commercial team by generating revenue through the acquisition of new business across International Cricket.

    About the role:

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    New Business
  • Achieve and surpass annual revenue targets
  • Work with the Senior Commercial Manager to organize and structure CA’s commercial assets and categories to optimize revenue
  • Work with the Commercial Operations Lead to uncover category insights and brand opportunities for potential and existing partners
  • Identify and nurture available categories to sell core sponsorship assets
  • Respond to prospect briefs with proposals that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Lead the negotiation and contracting of new partners
  • Prepare pitch documents, data packs, term sheets and other sales materials

    Commercial innovation and transformation
  • Construct and execute a commercial framework with principles that optimize revenue and limits leakage across the value chain
  • Work with the Senior Commercial Manager to transform existing commercial assets and programs to optimize revenue into the future
  • Build a sustainable commercial partner program that attracts partners that will support CA taking a leadership position in critical areas such as mental health and sustainability
  • Execute a global commercial sales strategy focusing on creating new revenue streams in the sub-continent and UK
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create new assets to monetise, such as the Broadcast Operations team (virtual signage) and Community Cricket team (Club assets)

    Commercial Program support
  • Lead the renewal and renegotiation of existing commercial partners, as required
  • Weekly collaboration with the Partnerships, Digital, Community Cricket and Media Rights teams to ensure commercial outcomes are achieved
  • Work with sales and design agencies to lead the creation of sponsorship sales collateral
  • Ensure the CRM system is kept up to date with leads and prospect relationship updates

    About you

    You’ll have:
  • 10+ years of sponsorship and new business sales experience (from lead to close)
  • Experience in solution sales to answer a customer’s brief
  • Commercial sales experience (business to business)
  • Negotiation experience
  • Experience in valuing digital assets and inventory
  • High degree of commercial and digital nous
  • Strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy
