ABOUT THE ROLE
This Is an exciting time for us as we take Australian Cricket’s cyber security posture to the next level, an ambition you could play a lead role in achieving as the GRC Specialist within our cyber security team. The cyber security threat evolves at a rapid pace, so we’re looking for drive, passion, and energy to ensure that Australian Cricket can keep the threat at bay.
This is a nationally focused role, and we welcome applications from candidates located anywhere within Australia. You will be able to work flexibly, with a mix of working remotely and from within your nearest Australian Cricket office.
Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security (with a dotted line to the Head of Risk) you’ll be responsible for:
– Assisting in the development, maintenance, and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, and standards that comply with applicable laws and best practices, monitoring and reporting on policy compliance, supporting their enforcement, and leading the underpinning awareness programs.
– Evaluating and managing cyber security risks, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities in Australian Cricket’s information systems and technology infrastructure, and developing strategies to mitigate them.
– Conducting regular audits and assessments (including exercises and simulations) to ensure the effectiveness of Australian Cricket’s controls and frameworks, working with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and venues.
– Collaborating across other teams within Australian Cricket to identify, implement and maintain business continuity plans, cyber security controls, and processes commensurate with evaluated risk.
– Supporting the response to cyber incidents, including investigative activities, and assisting with remedial action. This may include after-hours activities.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
– High level experience in a technology, cyber security, governance, risk, or compliance related field.
– Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certification in a technology, cyber security, governance, risk, or compliance related field.
– Extensive knowledge of cyber security principles, frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.) and risk management methodologies.
– Experience with and an understanding of the technical aspects of information security.
– Experience in assessing against and/or implementing cyber and risk standards/controls within an established risk management framework.
– Strong understanding of cyber security legislative and regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
– Ability to communicate complex cyber security issues and assessments in a clear and succinct manner clearly linked to business risk and impact.
– Clear thinker whilst managing disparate and diverse business requirements, including the ability to manage tensions and compromise. Able to offer pragmatic solutions that are suitable for Australian Cricket’s size, scale, and environment.
– Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations/environments, able to balance multiple priorities and remain focused and clear.
– Demonstrated collaboration and creative thinking skills (working with colleagues across Australia) as well as excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
– Credibility and influencing skills.
