Cricket Australia: Further domestic fixtures confirmed

Cricket Australia (CA), formerly the Australian Cricket Board (ACB), is the governing body for cricket in Australia. Established in 1905 as the Australian Board of Control for International Cricket, CA manages all national teams, including Men's, Women's, and Youth sides, as well as other national teams. It oversees the organization of Test matches, ODIs, and T20Is, and coordinates home international fixtures.

Cricket Australia has confirmed a further five matches in a revised 2021-22 men’s domestic schedule.

Revisions to the schedule have been made due to state border restrictions, public health conditions and their related impacts. Cricket Australia and all State and Territory Associations will continue to prioritise the health and safety of the community, players, staff and match officials. 

The confirmed matches are:

Marsh Sheffield Shield

Oct 7-10: Queensland v Tasmania, Karen Rolton Oval 

Oct 15-18: South Australia v Queensland, Adelaide Oval 

Oct 17-20: Western Australia v Tasmania, WACA Ground  

Marsh One-Day Cup

Oct 13: South Australia v Queensland, Karen Rolton Oval 

Oct 15: Western Australia v Tasmania, WACA Ground (D/N)  

The Queensland versus Tasmania Marsh Sheffield Shield match has been moved to South Australia to allow for future matches to proceed. The Queensland side will leave for South Australia tomorrow to prepare for the upcoming fixtures.

All five matches will be live streamed on Kayo and cricket.com.au. Marsh One-Day Cup matches will also be shown on Foxtel. 

Cricket Australia, Cricket NSW and Cricket Victoria are working closely with state and territory governments on the scheduling of matches for Victoria and New South Wales.

“It has been fantastic to see the summer of cricket get under way recently with a thrilling start to the CommBank International Series between Australia and India, as well as the beginning of the men’s domestic season in South Australia.

“We look forward to providing further updates regarding the Marsh Sheffield Shield, Marsh One-Day Cup and Women’s National Cricket League schedules as soon as possible.
