ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting time for the Broadcast & Commercial Department, as we’re looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and driven Head of Partnership Sales to lead and manage our partnerships sales team. This is an important Senior Leadership role within Cricket Australia, which will set the overall direction and strategy for Cricket Australia’s partnership sales team to drive revenue growth through strong relationships, high quality and professional sales processes that meet and exceed KPIs.

This role is pivotal in underpinning and driving a Sustainable Future, a strategic pillar of the Australian Cricket strategy, by generating revenue to reinvest in all levels of the game and partnering with organisations that are purpose-led and align with CA’s values and vision.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, your primary responsibilities will be to:

· drive transformational sales strategy and revenue growth;

· deliver new business and lead the process to identify and explore new markets, new categories, new assets & new ideas to support business growth; and

· provide business leadership directly to the commercial team, and to stakeholders across the business, manage commercial operating budgets, and monitor performance of commercial activities.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications including a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA would be highly regarded.

Importantly, we are seeking candidates with discernible experience in a senior strategic partnership sales role, with successful track record in transformational business enterprise and commercial sales development, and in addition, established experience in rights negotiation and contract development.

You will have strong people leadership skills, and a capability to build a collaborative, engaging, and values aligned high-performing team. You will also have demonstrated success in transforming B2C business units.

You will have outstanding commercial acumen with the ability to understand partner objectives, analytics, and insights that lead to quality decision making, along with an intrinsic understanding of the global and domestic sponsorship landscape and experience creating contemporary partnerships that deliver mutual value for fans, broadcasters, brands, and cricket.

Your business development experience along with sport and entertainment industry knowledge, including an understanding of the sport broadcast and media landscape and the role of digital in commercial opportunities, and your strong network of corporate relationships with decision makers within the Australian public and private sectors will set you up for success in this role.

We are keen to engage a candidate that is able to influence, engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, with excellent written, verbal and relationship building skills with the ability to engage across different levels of management.
