Kids will receive free entry to every Weber WBBL|10 match during Woolworths Cricket Blast Round, which is set to take over the competition from November 11-17.

Confirmation of Blast Round’s return this season coincides with the launch of the inaugural Woolworths Cricket Blast First XI, to be named throughout the summer of cricket.

Both initiatives celebrate the role of cricket and its leading junior program Woolworths Cricket Blast, for kids 10 years and under – in promoting healthy and active lifestyles.

Woolworths Cricket Blast Round

Kids and parents will benefit throughout Woolworths Cricket Blast Round.

In addition to free entry to WBBL|10 matches for children, parents who register their child for Woolworths Cricket Blast programs using code ‘WBBL10’ will receive $10 off the registration cost, and $10 off their next Woolworths shop. Head to play.cricket.com.au between November 11 and 17 to redeem.

Woolworths Cricket Blast Round will coincide with WBBL|10 Stadium Series matches at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Adelaide Oval, before culminating in a celebration of junior cricket at Drummoyne Oval on November 17. A full list of matches in the Round is below.

Each game will feature enhanced involvement from young cricketers in matchday presentation, plus fresh fruit handouts to enable healthy eating. Matches at Drummoyne Oval will feature the Woolworths Kids Zone including smoothie bikes and games.

Free entry to these matches is available for all children accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets are available at www.bigbash.com.au.

Woolworths Cricket Blast First XI

Standout participants from Woolworths Cricket Blast programs around the country will be recognised this summer with a place in its ‘First XI’.

First XI members will be players who demonstrate passion, a positive attitude, skill, leadership and love for the game.

For the remainder of the Big Bash summer, weekly winners will be selected from nominations across the country to form the First XI. These winners will be announced at Big Bash matches and via the Big Bash App and social media channels, with the complete team to be brought together and acknowledged at the KFC BBL|14 Final.

The Woolworths Cricket Blaster of the Year will be selected from the First XI and announced at the Australian Cricket Awards on February 3, 2025.

James Allsopp, Cricket Australia’s Chief of Cricket, said:

“Cricket Australia is delighted to work with Woolworths to bring these two great initiatives to life, celebrating the success of the Woolworths Cricket Blast program.

“Naming a First XI gives us the opportunity to recognise standout participants from across Australia who exemplify the spirit of the game, teamwork and the joy of playing cricket. We look forward to gathering them all at the KFC BBL|14 Final.

“It is also fantastic to have the Woolworths Cricket Blast Round back in Weber WBBL|10 and we encourage parents around the country to make the most of the offers available.”
