Cricket Australia launches Cricket Gold, FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus Australia

Cricket Australia (CA), formerly the Australian Cricket Board (ACB), is the governing body for cricket in Australia. Established in 1905 as the Australian Board of Control for International Cricket, CA manages all national teams, including Men's, Women's, and Youth sides, as well as other national teams. It oversees the organization of Test matches, ODIs, and T20Is, and coordinates home international fixtures.

Fans will have access to some of cricket’s greatest matches and most exciting highlights on the world’s first cricket FAST channel Cricket Gold on Samsung Smart TVs.

Cricket Australia’s vast archive is the most extensive in world cricket and CA has invested in digitising, preserving and cataloguing video to enhance fan access and celebrate the game’s rich history.

Launching Wednesday, October 25, Cricket Gold will initially only be available on Samsung TV Plus, Samsung’s free ad-supported streaming TV service and will feature some of the greatest moments from the past 40 years of men’s and women’s Test, ODI and T20 cricket as well as informative documentaries from the CA Films vault.

Many of the greats of the game will feature on Cricket Gold, including epic performances by superstars such as Sir Vivian Richards, Allan Border, Belinda Clark, Dean Jones, Imran Khan, Lisa Sthalekar, Wasim Akram, Sir Ian Botham, Cathryn Fitzpatrick, Shane Warne, Steve Waugh and Sachin Tendulkar with legendary commentary by iconic figures including Richie Benaud, Bill Lawry and Tony Greig.

Samsung TV Plus in Australia will be the first platform where audiences can access Cricket Gold, with other exciting Cricket Australia archive initiatives to follow to ensure fans can access the matches and highlights they want to relive or enjoy for the first time.

Samsung TV Plus has steadily expanded its reach and content offering to deliver over 100 channels across news, sports, entertainment and more and is well established in cricket markets across the globe.
