We’re looking for a driven National Community Policy Lead to join our Community Cricket team. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about using their influence and intellect to build policy frameworks and education that continue to ensure our sport is safe and relevant for all who want to play!

Reporting to the Head of Clubs & Volunteers you’ll be responsible for the development and implementation of critical off-field and on-field policies that support the continued growth of opportunities for kids and adults to play cricket.

About The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expertise and leadership to Cricket Australia and the State & Territory Cricket Associations on key child safety risks
  • Liaising with CA Communications team to raise awareness of importance of child safety
  • Exploring suitable commercial and charitable partners to further amplify the messaging around child safety
  • Develop and oversee a complaint management framework that underpins all Australian Cricket policies and codes of behaviour
  • Developing improved systems for reporting, collection and analysis of policy breaches and incidents in the community
  • Develop and implement an educational framework that promotes a level of awareness and confidence from the cricket community in AC policies, codes, and complaint management processes
  • Develop and implement an educational framework that promotes a level of awareness and confidence from AC workforce in AC policies, codes, and complaint management processes
  • Leadership of National Child Safe working group

About You

You’ll be known for your ability to build frameworks, resources and education that simplify complex concepts for a largely volunteer stakeholder group. You will also be passionate about bringing positive change to communities.

You’ll Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or environment
  • Experience in bringing together internal and external teams to work towards a common cause
  • Brilliant communication skills – written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and outstanding time management skills
