A new documentary ‘The Boy from Macksville’ will celebrate the precocious talent and many achievements of former Australian opener Phillip Hughes as Australian Cricket commemorates the tenth anniversary of his passing.
Produced by cricket.com.au with the generous collaboration of the Hughes family, many of Phillip’s friends and teammates have contributed their fond recollections of his eventful life.
‘The Boy from Macksville’ includes previously unreleased archival video and explores the profound impact Phillip had on his many friends and the cricket public – from his family life in his hometown Macksville in country New South Wales to his stellar deeds in the world’s great cricket stadiums.
The 68-minute documentary will be aired simultaneously on Foxtel and Kayo, Channel Seven and 7plus and cricket.com.au on Friday, December 6 at the conclusion of play on day one of the second NRMA Insurance Test.
