ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting time for us, as we have created a role for a Performance Data & Technology Lead within our High Performance and National Teams Department. We’re looking for someone to drive world-leading data, technology and system solutions that help deliver on our High Performance (HP) ambition to create inspirational players and teams. If you consider yourself a collaborator, you will work with Cricket’s technology leaders, HP staff and data and tech partners, designing and implementing roadmaps to support the needs to the HP system. We have big ambitions for this space, so we’re looking for drive, passion, and energy to bring our plans to life.

Reporting to the Head of National Development you will be responsible for:

Systems, Network & Strategy

– Lead the development and delivery of a HP data and technology strategy to support national teams and national development priorities.

– Work with the performance data and analytics national network to develop alignment and efficiency of systems across the country.

– Collaborate with third party providers and internal cyber security and technology teams to design and implement data pipelines using modern technologies including MS SQL, Azure Cloud services and Power BI .

– Manage and engage stakeholders to ensure; all relevant strategic or customer problems are evaluated and prioritised and; stakeholders understand the direction and the outcomes that we are driving towards.

Working with National Teams

– Collaboratively develop strategically aligned short to medium term performance data and analytics roadmap for the AC teams (Men’s, Women’s, Aus A & U19).

– Use data modelling and visualisation techniques to surface trends and answer questions for performance coaching and support staff.

Partnerships

– Manage ongoing partnerships and development priorities with external data and technical suppliers (Ball and GPS tracking, match data, match vision, analytics and AI).

– Manage budget and commercial relationships with external data and tech suppliers.

– Deliver key metrics / outcomes and drive product evolution through development and enhancements.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

– Tertiary qualifications (bachelor’s or master’s degree) in Sport Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.

– Strong stakeholder management with proven ability to form strong trusting relationships

– Excellent written and verbal communication

– Understanding of HP sport environment

– Analytical mindset, curious, problem solver and excellent attention to detail
