    You’re looking at a rare and exciting opportunity to join a leading sporting organisation in a digital Product Manager capacity! As the Product Manager for Big Bash, you will lead the development of experiences to drive the objectives of the Big Bash Leagues and Clubs including awareness, engagement, ticket sales and membership. Your work will be strategically vital and will impact fans in Australia and across the globe.

    Your timing is great too! Together with our new CMS vendor, you will have the opportunity to develop new destinations for our Big Bash Clubs and State & Territory Cricket Associations as well as having a significant influence on the visibility of the Big Bash Leagues on cricket.com.au and the CA Live app.

    This is a truly unique opportunity to be involved in a greenfield build on an exciting CMS platform that powers many of the most popular sporting websites around the world.

    To be successful in this role, you will bring strong stakeholder management skills and the willingness and ability to develop a deep understanding of our customers, how they use our products and how this applies to the needs of Australian Cricket, alongside an informed and regularly updated view of the market and industry in which we are competing.

    About the role
    As a Product Manager at Cricket Australia, you’ll:

    Product Vision & Strategy
  • Work collaboratively and strategically with the Group Product Manager – Fan Experiences, General Manager – Big Bash Leagues and Big Bash Clubs to deliver the vision of highly engaging, deeply personalised and seamlessly connected fan experiences;
  • Ensure that the Big Bash Club & State and Territory Cricket Association websites have defined objectives and success metrics that reflect the strategic intent of each product;
  • Ensure all products have a product roadmap aligned to strategic objectives;
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the competitive environment that the enabler products exist in, including elite and community sport;
  • Regularly review the performance of fan products and ensure that insights are actioned and issues addressed, with a feedback loop into the product planning processes.

    Product Management
  • Lead an Agile team to deliver on your product vision and roadmap;
  • Ensure a roadmap of features and experiments is developed, maintained and prioritised in alignment with business priorities;
  • Document new product features or improvements through the creation of user stories and definition of acceptance criteria;
  • Identify and manage any product/delivery dependencies, risks and issues;
  • Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups as the Product Owner;
  • Assist developers as required throughout a sprint to ensure each story is delivered to specification;
  • Champion continuous improvement by leading sprint retrospectives and ensuring that improvements identified are implemented;
  • Perform User Acceptance testing to ensure that specified requirements have been met;
  • Showcase product enhancements to key stakeholders at the completion of each sprint;
  • Build and maintain a deep knowledge of the customer – of actual users and customers including issues, pains, desires and jobs-to-be-done;
  • Use analytics and customer insights to inform new product development and growth experiments.

    Other Duties
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations including MOU and department specific contractual arrangements.

    You’ll have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience implementing product management practices and principles
  • Experience in product planning, product discovery and product development process
  • Proven ability to execute – from product vision to production
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

    And ideally, you’ll have:
  • Product management experience
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • A passion for cricket
