ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting time for us, as we are searching for a customer orientated System Administrator to join our Technology department.

Based in Hobart, this national role will provide Australian Cricket with an effective and efficient technology environment. Working with the organisation and technology stakeholders, you will provide support with the use and ongoing development of Australian Cricket’s enterprise systems and infrastructure.

If you have a broad technology background (eg. strong software/infrastructure administration, development and/or delivery experience), experience in technology support and a passion for users, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

– Provide level 2/3 support and ensure quality customer service

– Advocate for technology within assigned client organisation(s)/and or domain and for assigned client organisation(s) and/or domain within technology

– Support the availability of key business systems by assuming technical responsibility for ensuring assigned services are monitored and maintained on a regular basis

– Continual service improvement of assigned services

– Establish and maintain relationships with service owners and supporting vendors

– Be a point of contact for technology in assigned client organisation(s), providing regular updates on issues and solutions

– Liaison between users, Service Desk, external support staff and other members of the Australian Cricket Technology team

– Provide support and training to staff and manage escalations to vendors for the following local systems, including:

o Projector, AV, video conferencing

o Meeting Room and Functional Area computers

o Printers

– Provide setup and support for Australian Cricket locations, matches and events. This involves traveling between locations at times.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

– Bachelor of Science (Software/Systems Engineering/Infrastructure) or equivalent

– ITIL v3 or above

– Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (desirable)

– Microsoft Azure Administrator (desirable)

– 5+ years software/infrastructure administration, development and/or delivery experience

– Proven hands-on experience in working on a range of small, medium and large-scale projects involving Business and Technology change

– Previous experience in technology support

– Customer oriented and has appropriate interpersonal and time management skills.

– Experience in developing and updating technical and process documentation.

– Demonstrated ability to define user and functional requirements within a structured system development lifecycle methodology

– Ability to leverage sound business judgment to translate complex business issues into detailed requirements and specifications

– Strong written and verbal communications skills

– Demonstrated experience in Microsoft technologies, including (but not limited to):

o Active Directory

o IIS

o DNS

o SQL

o Windows Server

o Azure

o Office 365

o Teams

o Sharepoint

– Moderate to advanced Azure Automation and PowerShell scripting skills

– Demonstrated experience in Windows Server administration

– Demonstrated experience in network administration, routing and switching

– Extremely customer oriented and has appropriate interpersonal and time management skills

– Experience in installation and configuration of operating systems, networks, applications, and tools – including maintenance of the same

– Good influencing and negotiation skills

The following is not essential, but will be highly regarded:

– Fundamental knowledge of cloud infrastructure

– Experience with logging, monitoring and incident response tools such as PagerDuty

– Experience or knowledge in applying project management techniques, Waterfall and Agile methodologies and principles in projects

– Knowledge and experience working in sport and/or not for profit sector

– Experience in vendor sourcing and management

– Demonstrated experience in level 2/3 desktop administration
