Australia’s most talented emerging female cricketers will gather in Perth this week for the Cricket Australia Under 19 Female National Championships.

The multi-format National Championships begins today and culminates with the Final at the WACA Ground on Monday, 12 December.

The Championships provide players with the opportunity to represent their states and territories while testing their skills against fellow up-and-coming cricketers.

This week is also the final opportunity for players to put their name forward for the inaugural 2023 ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa in January, with selection taking place at the conclusion of the National Championships.

Matchday and squad photos will be available here throughout the tournament. Full squad lists can be found here.

To arrange interviews with any players over the course of the National Championships, contact Patrick Henning on 0412 038 808 or pat.henning@cricket.com.au.

Sonya Thompson, Cricket Australia Head of National Development said:

“Cricket Australia’s underage National Championships are an integral part of the Australian cricket pathway and provide important development opportunities for our emerging stars.

“There are some familiar names taking part this week, with several players competing who have already experienced WBBL and WNCL cricket.

“We’re excited for the National Championships to get underway today and thank the State and Territory Associations for their support and collaboration.”
