The Sports Capital and Equipment Programme (SCEP) is operated by the Irish Government and provides grants to assist in the development or refurbishment of sports facilities and the provision of sports equipment. It is part funded from the proceeds of the National Lottery.

The 2023 round of the Programme will open for applications from 9am, Monday 17 July 2023 until 5pm, Friday 8 September 2023 and Cricket Ireland is urging all clubs based in the Republic of Ireland to consider, prepare, and apply ahead of the deadline.

If they haven’t done so in previous rounds of the scheme, clubs must register with the programme in advance and the deadline for registration of a club is 5pm on Friday 25th August 2023.

The Department have renewed the portal that is used to apply for funding and manage the drawdown of grants and it can be accessed at www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie
