Ireland Women’s cricket team has arrived in Edinburgh at the beginning of what will be the start of a crucial month of T20 International cricket that will culminate in a chance to qualify for their first world cup appearance since November 2018.

After the 14-player squad arrived safely and on-time in the Scottish capital, the squad will have little time to prepare themselves before the start of a three-match T20I series against Scotland starting tomorrow. The series will be an historic first with this being the inaugural international match that Scotland Women have played at The Grange – the spiritual home of Scottish cricket.

For Irish fans, the series will be available to watch via livestream at Cricket Scotland’s Youtube channel.

Ireland and Scotland have played 20 T20Is with Ireland having the upper hand since the two sides first met in the format in 2009 – Ireland having won 14, Scotland won 4 and two no results. However, Scotland won the last encounter between the two sides in August 2021.
