Ever wondered about becoming a scorer? Interested in learning what scoring is about? IACUS is now offering free beginner courses that will give you an introduction to a vital role in our sport.
Stella Downes has been scoring cricket matches for around 40 years – and she loves it…but she also knows we need to grow the number of scorers across Ireland. You can read a great story about Stella here.
Stella, through the Irish Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers (IACUS), is setting up courses in early 2023. The scorer courses are free and ‘virtual’ to make them as accessible as possible. They run for four weeks and will require you to attend all sessions to receive a certificate.
