The upcoming Evoke Super 50 Cup match between the Scorchers and Typhoons set for Claremont Road this Sunday has been postponed.

The two sides met on Monday in the title-deciding last match of the T20 Trophy competition, and were set to open their 50-over competition campaigns this Sunday – but due to renovations currently underway on the square, the pitch will not be ready to host the match this week.

The re-scheduled date has been confirmed as Tuesday 29 August 2023.

The Claremont Road venue is scheduled to host another Evoke Super 50 Cup match on Sunday 18 June – ground staff expect the pitch to be ready for that encounter.
