Several administrative decisions have been made relating to domestic cricket in Ireland.
Bowling action investigation
As per Cricket Ireland Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with Suspected Illegal Bowling Actions, Malahide and Munster Reds’ Matt Ford has been found to have an illegal bowling action. Since this process was completed, Ford has re-modelled his action and has been cleared after testing through CI’s independent expert. Regulations direct that if a bowler is reported twice in a twelve month period moving forward, he/she will be banned from bowling for a twelve month period.
Disciplinary Committee outcomes
The Cricket Ireland Disciplinary Committee has determined three incidents, and the following penalties have been actioned:
• Dylan Lues – Balbriggan – one-match ban from next match in Irish Senior Cup / National Cup the player is available for selection after decision was made on 10 July
• Farukh Fiaz – Rush – one-match ban from next match in Irish Senior Cup / National Cup the player is available for selection after decision was made on 10 July; reprimanded with 12-month warning on further infringement
• William McClintock – Donemana – reprimanded with 12-month warning on further infringement
