As the first home internationals of 2021 get underway for Ireland Men’s cricket team, the Men in Green will be sporting a number of new sponsors on their jerseys – the front of the jersey will feature ‘CoinDCX’ (the cryptocurrency exchange), while online fantasy gaming brand ‘Playing11’ and sports marketers ‘ITW’ will feature on the shirt sleeves.
The first match that the new jersey will feature in will be the first One-Day International between Ireland Men and South Africa Men on 11 July 2021.
Dennis Cousins, Commercial Director for Cricket Ireland, said:
“We are delighted to announce this new phase of our partnership today with ITW Consulting, which has introduced two dynamic new brands to the Cricket Ireland portfolio. We welcome both CoinDCX and Playing11 with their first entry into the Irish cricket market and look forward to a successful partnership.”
“Thanks to Bhairav and his team at ITW for working so hard on bringing these established brands to help strengthen and grow cricket in Ireland.”
Recognised as India’s safest cryptocurrency exchange, CoinDCX is growing its footprint in international cricket becoming the main team sponsor for a second Full Member – Sri Lanka, and now Ireland. Through this sponsorship, the brand will look to attract the cricket-loving global and Indian audience. With cricket viewership as the base, the brand aims to reach out to the millennial and Gen-Z populations in the global and Indian subcontinent market.
Mr. Sumit Gupta, CEO & Co-founder of CoinDCX, said:
“This is our third cricket sponsorship this year and we are thrilled to be the Official Jersey Sponsor of Ireland Men’s cricket team. The crypto-assets market in India is under-penetrated. The cricket season attracts high viewership from all over India, and we aim to tap potential users through these sponsorships.”
Another brand for whom the highly involved young cricket-watching audience is Playing11. Among India’s most trusted Fantasy Gaming application with over half a million users, Playing11 will be prominently featured on the ‘Lead Arm’ for ODI’s, T20I’s and Tests, and on the ‘Back of Jersey’ for T20Is through the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
Saurabh Jha, CEO & Founder of Playing11 said:
“The Playing11 team is very excited to be an Official Partner of Team Ireland for the 2021-2022 season for all home and away matches. Cricket is one of the revered sports not just in India, but across the world. We are very excited by the prospects of this partnership and in other cricket playing countries like Ireland – this partnership offers excellent synergy for Playing11, as we aim to reach out to more users through this association. Playing11 app will continue to be closely associated with Cricket in its different formats, and our aspiration is to capitalise on the following of the Sport, to further our message.”
The third sponsor logo to appear on the jersey is ITW – a global leader in sports consulting and marketing company – which has its footprint across the world. ITW specialises in crafting and executing multi-faceted brand management solutions and celebrity management across a vast number of areas – Sports, Entertainment and Media. With a global presence and in-depth understanding of the International Sports and Media market, ITW helps clients to build stronger brand visibility, media buying, awareness and recall a wider target audience. Having worked with a diverse range of brands, ITW has expertise in sponsorship management, sponsorship activation and event management, which has earned them an esteemed reputation in the field of sports management and marketing.
Bhairav Shanth, Co-founder & MD, ITW Consulting said:
“We have always believed in global cricket’s tremendous potential beyond the major cricket playing countries and it’s a thrill to be walking that talk by having our presence as a sponsor on the jersey of one of the most exciting emerging teams today, who will be seeing a lot of action in the coming couple of seasons. It enables us to showcase ourselves to both audiences and stakeholders in the world of cricket and I am looking forward to this exciting journey through this association.”
