Cricket Ireland has today confirmed Paul Stirling will join the Ireland Men’s squad on 27 May and play Day Two and Three of the match against Essex that precedes the Test Match against England Men from 1-4 June 2023.
Stirling, who is currently playing on a short-term contract as an overseas layer with Warwickshire County Cricket Club in the T20 Blast, will play tomorrow’s fixture against Leicestershire before travelling to Essex to join the Test squad,
The fixture between Ireland Men and Essex remains a first-class match, and Essex Cricket have confirmed the match will be livestreamed through their youtube channel.

The fixture schedule is:
• 26-28 May: Essex Men v Ireland Men – 1st Class Match (Chelmsford)
• 1-4 June: England Men v Ireland Men – Test Match (Lord’s)
