Irish internationals Sarah Forbes and Aimee Maguire have been called up to the Ireland Women’s squad for the T20 International series against Scotland after Rebecca Stokell and Freya Sargent were forced to withdraw from the senior side due to injury.
Forbes, 21, has four international caps having appeared in the multi-format series against South Africa in 2022, while Maguire, 17, made her international debut in July this year against the West Indies making five appearances.
Both players have arrived in Spain and have joined the squad at their base in Desert Springs.
