Cricket Ireland teams up with ICC to stream Irish domestic cricket

Cricket Ireland, officially known as The Irish Cricket Union Company Limited by Guarantee, is the governing body for cricket on the island of Ireland. It oversees the national men's and women's teams and organizes the Inter-Provincial Series, Super 3s, and All-Ireland club competitions. Ireland achieved Test status for women in 2000 and for men in 2017 when it became a Full Member of the ICC.

Cricket Ireland and the International Cricket Council (ICC) have teamed up to stream more than 50 domestic Irish matches for free on ICC.tv, including the entire men’s Inter-Provincial Series and Women’s Super Series competitions.

ICC.tv, the ICC’s OTT streaming platform, is free to use, and is available on web, iOS and Android. In addition to live cricket from across the world, there is archive content and other programming.

Fans can log onto www.icc.tv and set up a free registered account.

THE COMPETITIONS

The Inter-Provincial Series is the peak domestic men’s cricket league in Ireland. Launched in 2013, it is a competition between Leinster Lightning, Northern Knights, North West Warriors and Munster Reds with the sides competing for:

  • The Inter-Provincial Cup (50-over matches)
  • The Inter-Provincial Trophy (T20 matches)

The Super Series is the peak domestic women’s cricket league in Ireland. Launched in 2015, it is a competition between the Scorchers, Dragons and Typhoons with the sides competing for:

  • The Super 50 Cup (50-over matches)
  • The Super 20 Trophy (T20 matches)

THE SCHEDULES

The fixture schedule for the 2023 Super Series is available here, while the 2023 Inter-Provincial Series will be released shortly. The first match being streamed will be the Scorchers v Dragons in the Super Series live from Malahide on 1 May 2023.

COUNTRIES AVAILABLE


The matches will be available on ICC.tv in every country except India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Maldives, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Fans in these excluded countries can watch the matches instead via FanCode.
