The Cricket National Men’s team starts the year off with an exciting ODI tri-series against Oman and UAE. The 11-day long tri-series will be hosted in Dubai from the 4th until the 14th of March 2022.
The Eagles will compete in five ODI games which is part of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, whereby the Eagles play three games against Oman, and two games against UAE. It is important for the Eagles to finish the league in a good position to retain ODI status for Namibia. National Men’s Head Coach Pierre De Bruyn emphasized the importance of the tournament, “This coming tournament is important for the Eagles to work towards retaining ODI status. The conditions at the ICC Academy Oval and at Sharjah cricket ground are tricky but we had the opportunity to play at these venues at the recently held World Cup.”
