Cricket Namibia is on a mission to develop, grow and spread the game of cricket in all the regions of Namibia. To achieve in spreading the game, CN is obligated to upskill coaches who can develop the future Eagles.
Cricket Namibia Highperformace Coordinator, Dee Thakur facilitated Introduction to Level One Coaching Course in Walvis Bay, at Kuisebmond Secondary School on the 16th and 17th of October 2020, and was well attended by 24 participants. Walvis Bay is currently the biggest cricket development hub which has produced players that are now part of our men’s national team.
The Introduction to Level One Coaching Course is designed to develop coaches understanding of the fundamentals of hardball cricket & lead them into the Level One Coaching Course.
Mr. Jonathan Maswahu, Principal of Kuisebmond Secondary school welcomed the participants and commended Cricket Namibia for giving the teachers the opportunity to spread the game in the community of Walvis Bay.
Apart from the excellent attendance, the participants were very keen to learn & took part in the practical sessions. It was clear to see that they have the passion to give back to their community.
