Cricket Namibia hosted our first Corporate Golf day on the 18th of September 2020 at the Windhoek Country Club.
The aim of the golf day was to link business communities in a time of immense challenge. Participation at the event was per invitation only, with the aim of attracting senior and executive management of corporate entities.
Corporates normally meet around tables in board rooms or at business launches, Cricket Namibia is proud that we could create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for the 88 professionals who participated in the day.
This was a day for businesses to not only enjoy the game of golf, but also to explore opportunities to collaborate and identify ideas of mutual benefit.
The golf day wouldn’t have been as exciting without the involvement of our partners; AB Inbev, Distell, Naankuse, Torga Optical, XCO, APS, NeoLife, IXU, Pupkewitz Toyota, Ashburton and Future Media.
At this event, we also created opportunities for other entities that wanted to get involved as sponsors for the day. Grove Mall sponsored prizes and had NewsCafe at the course for a colorful cocktail treat for the players, while Richelieu treated everyone to one of Namibia’s famous local cuisine, “kapana, salsa with vetkoek”. Paratus blew new life into the teams with fun activities and enthusiastic staff. The one-eye closed Torga Optical Par 3 proofed to be a challenge for most golfers. An outdoor event can only be fun with good music, free beer and free food. Cricket Namibia liquor sponsors Richelieu and Castle Lite pitched up with enough drinks for everyone and our newly signed partner Future Media had NOVA Fm for the good music.
